Can't Find the Downloaded Video
The file exists, it is simply stored in your platform’s standard download location, which is not always the photo gallery.
Where to look
- iPhone and iPad, the Files app, then Downloads, Share followed by Save Video moves it to Photos.
- Android, Files or My Files, in the Download folder, the gallery registers it shortly afterwards.
- Windows, the Downloads folder, or Ctrl+J for the browser’s download list.
- Mac, Downloads in the Finder or the Dock, or Cmd+J in the browser.
Why this happens
Browsers save files, they do not insert them into photo galleries. On phones, that final step into Photos or the gallery is the one most often missed.
Rename the file immediately after saving, a searchable name is easier than remembering folder paths.
